This Privacy Policy explains how AI Story ("we," "us," "our") handles your information. Our privacy model is simple: your creative content is yours and is stored only on your device. Our servers are used only for account management and temporary processing.

We categorize data into three types to be transparent about what we do:

• Account Information: Your email address and a securely hashed (one-way encrypted) password.
• Payment & Credit Information: When you purchase credits via Stripe, we store a record of the transaction (not your card details) and your current credit balance associated with your account.

3. Data Processed Temporarily on Our Servers (Not Stored):

• Story Inputs: The story descriptions or text you submit for generation or optimization.
• Text-to-Audio Inputs: The text you submit for audio conversion.
• Voice Samples: If you use the voice cloning feature, your voice sample is processed.

This data is sent to our server API, used to perform the requested task, and is immediately and permanently discarded after the task is complete. We do not log, save, or store any of this creative data on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we handle to:

• Authenticate you and provide access to your account.
• Manage your credit balance.
• Process your payments securely through Stripe.
• Temporarily process your inputs to generate stories and audio as you request.
• Communicate with you about your account or important service updates.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We only share information in these limited cases:

• With Service Providers: We use trusted third parties to operate our service.
  • Stripe: For processing payments.
  • API Providers: For AI and text-to-speech processing. These providers are contractually bound to only use the data to fulfill the request and cannot retain it.
  • Cloud Hosting: For securely storing your account information and credit balance.
• For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your account information if required by law. As we do not store your generated content, we cannot provide it in response to a legal request.

5. Data Security and Retention

Server Security: We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your account and credit information stored on our servers.

Device Security: You are responsible for the security of your own device, which is where all your generated content is stored.

Retention: We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, this information is deleted from our active databases. We do not retain any of your creative inputs, generated stories, or audio on our servers.

6. Your Data Rights

Regarding the account information we store, you have the right to access, correct, or delete it by managing your account or contacting us. Since your creative content is stored locally, you have full control to manage or delete it directly from your device at any time.

7. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to individuals under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have done so, we will take steps to delete such information.

8. International Data Transfers

Your account information may be stored on servers located outside your country. The temporary processing of your content may also occur on servers in different jurisdictions. By using the Service, you consent to these transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy within the App and updating the "Last Updated" date.
